Eyeliner Tattoo

Enhance your eyes with flawless, long-lasting eyeliner through our eyeliner tattoo treatment.

What is eyeliner tattooing?

Eyeliner Tattooing is a semi-permanent beauty treatment that involves using a special tool to deposit pigments along the lash line. These pigments together, create the illusion of perfectly applied eyeliner that naturally enhances your eyes.

Does eyeliner tattooing hurt?

While we do apply numbing cream to help minimise any discomfort, we can’t promise an entirely painless experience. The level of discomfort during an eyeliner tattoo treatment can differ from person to person. We’re here to ensure your comfort throughout the process so if you have any concerns, please reach out to us for a free consultation.

How long does an eyeliner tattoo last?

Based on our experience, we typically find that an eyeliner tattoo will last up to 3 years – the truth is, it really depends on you! Everyone’s skin, lifestyle, make-up and cleansing routine is different and so the duration will also vary with these factors.

Will it fade or become discoloured?

Rest assured that at no point in time, will you suddenly wake up one morning with green-tinted eyeliner! We’ve done a lot of research on the various pigments available in the market and have imported the best of the best, directly from South Korea – a country well known for their cosmetic products! The pigments we use for eyeliner tattooing have been chosen for their ability to hold their colour and when it does fade, it’ll fade naturally and gradually.

What's the healing process? How long does it take for it to look natural?

After getting an eyeliner tattoo, the initial healing process typically takes about 1-2 weeks. During this time, you might notice some minor scabbing and flaking as the treated area heals. Don’t worry if the color appears darker or more intense initially; this is part of the healing process. As the scabs naturally shed, the color will gradually lighten and settle to its final, more natural appearance.

You might also find that your eyelids may feel a little swollen – this is perfectly normal and will settle over time as you heal.

For the most natural look, it’s important to follow the aftercare instructions provided. Avoid rubbing or picking at the treated area and keep it clean. Over the weeks following the initial healing period, the color will continue to soften and blend with your natural skin tone, resulting in a beautifully enhanced yet natural-looking eyeliner.

How long does the whole process take? Can you please explain the process step by step?

The whole process takes around 2 – 3 hours and inclues the following steps:

Design Consultation: Your journey begins with a detailed consultation where we discuss your eyeliner goals, preferences, and any questions you may have. We’ll analyse your facial features, skin tone, and eyes to create a personalised design that complements your face.

Apply Numbing Cream: To ensure your comfort throughout the process, we’ll apply a topical numbing cream to the eyeliner area. This cream takes approximately 20-30 minutes to take effect, minimising any potential discomfort during the eyeliner treatment.

Eyeliner Tattoo Treatment: Using a specialised hand tool, we’ll delicately place pigments along your lash line, creating the desired eyeliner effect. Throughout the process, we’ll make sure you’re comfortable and we’ll take breaks as needed.

Final Assessment: After completing the initial eyeliner tattoo, we’ll thoroughly assess the eyeliner for symmetry and make any necessary adjustments to achieve the desired look.

What colour options and pigments do you have available?

We offer a range of color options and pigments to suit different skin tones, hair colors, and preferences. During your initial consultation, we’ll discuss your desired eyeliner look and analyse your skin tones to recommend the most suitable pigment shade. Our goal is to create eyeliners that look natural and complement your features.

I’ve got a previous eyeliner tattoo, can I still receive treatment?

Skin Conditions or Allergies: Inform your technician of any skin conditions, allergies, or medical conditions you may have to ensure a safe and successful procedure.

For at least 24 hours:

    • Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine: These can thin the blood and may lead to increase bleeding during the procedure. Caffeine can also increase the sensitivity of your skin.
    • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment to keep your skin hydrated, which can improve the healing process.

For at least 48 hours:

    • Avoid Blood-Thinning Medications unless medically necessary: If possible, avoid blood-thinning medications or supplements like aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E for at least 48 hours before your appointment, as they can also increase bleeding.
    • Avoid Eyelash Extensions: If you wear eyelash extensions, it’s recommended to remove them at least 48 hours before your eyeliner tattoo appointment.

For at least 2 weeks:

    • Avoid Sunburn or Tanning the area around the eye: Sunburnt or tanned skin can cause skin irritation and peeling which can affect the treatment.
    • Avoid Facial Treatments and Chemical Exfoliants around the eye: This can cause skin irritation which can affect the eyeliner tattoo process.

For at least 1 month:

    • Avoid Retinol, Retin-A and Vitamin A: These ingredients can thin the skin and make it more sensitive, increasing the risk of irritation and discomfort during the procedure.
    • Avoid Botox and Dermal Fillers: Injectables can change the shape and position of the eyeliner, affecting the outcome.

For at least 12 months:

    • Avoid Accutane: If you are currently taking Accutane or have taken it within the past 12 months, it’s crucial to wait until the medication is fully out of your system before getting an eyeliner tattoo. Accutane can affect the skin’s healing process and may lead to adverse reactions during the procedure.

Any questions, please reach out to us and we’d be more than happy to help. We look forward to seeing you soon!
